The Louisiana State Appaloosa Club held their Spring Family Trail Ride on Saturday, May 16, 2009 at Gum Springs Horse Trail, near Winnfield, Louisiana. This was a beautiful place to ride, camp, and enjoy a delicious cook out. Everyone had a great time, and enjoyed gorgeous forest scenery. If you want to have a great family outing, make plans to attend one of our trail rides. LSAC will hold a fall trail ride at Camp Cane in October, 2009. The Dixie Appaloosa Mavericks held a three judge ApHC show in Columbia, Mississippi on April 4, 2009. LSAC co-pointed this show and several members participated in the competition. The Louisiana State Appaloosa Club was a co-sponsor of the Dixie National Appaloosa Show, held in Jackson, Mississippi on January 24 & 25, 2009. LSAC members cooked breakfast for the competitors Saturday morning, serving beignets, boudin, and coffee. The Louisiana club also had an informational booth set up in the arena, promoting our 2009 shows and the Stallion Service Auction and Futurity. Several LSAC members were very successful in competition in the show.





On Saturday, December 6, 2008, the Louisiana State Appaloosa Club held their END OF YEAR AWARDS BANQUET at the home of David & Rebecca Johnson in Baton Rouge, LA. The hospitality of the Johnson family was wonderful and the meal served was enjoyed by everyone present. Several members were recognized for earning high-point in their classes/events.










On Saturday, November 22, 2008, the Louisiana State Appaloosa Club held their Cajun Fall Classic Show at the Ike Hamilton Exposition Center in West Monroe. On Friday night before the show, a great chicken & sausage gumbo was served to everyone present. This helped to warm up everyone in the below freezing weather. Thanks to everyone who participated and helped to make this show a great success.








All participants and horses were ready to head home after a great time being had at the show!



The Louisiana State Appaloosa Club held their Fall Colors Family Trail Ride on Saturday, November 15, 2008 at Gum Springs Horse Trail, near Winnfield, Louisiana. This was a beautiful place to ride, camp, and enjoy a delicious cook out. Everyone had a great time, and enjoyed the cool weather and gorgeous forest scenery. If you want to have a great family outing, make plans to attend one of our trail rides next year. LSAC holds a spring and fall trail ride. Continue to watch the web site for more information.

Relaxing & enjoying the COOL weather after the ride!



The Louisiana State Appaloosa Club held the Too Hot to Handle show June 14, 2008 at the Sugarena in New Iberia, LA. There was a great turn out, with 33 horses, and 134 total entries. On Friday night, before the show, LSAC held a general membership meeting. The Ranch Outlet provided a spaghetti dinner for everyone present.

LOUISIANA APPALOOSA EXPO SHOW

The Louisiana State Appaloosa Club held a great show March 8, 2008 in conjunction with the Louisiana Equine Council's 2nd Annual Expo. LSAC also had a booth at the Expo to advertise the Appaloosa breed and the Louisiana State Appaloosa Club.

DIXIE NATIONAL APPALOOSA SHOW
January 25 - 27, 2008


The Louisiana State Appaloosa Club was well represented at the 2008 Dixie National Appaloosa Show in Jackson, Mississippi. LSAC cooked some great food and fed everyone at the show Friday night, approximately 200 people. Thanks to everyone who helped cook and/or serve.
LSAC also served coffee & beignets on Saturday morning. Quite a few club members were showing their horses and placed well in their classes.
